Stephen Moskal

Director of Instruction

PGA of England and PGA France Member (Stephen is fluent in French) 
Stephen moved to the Metropolitan DC area in 2000.  Before joining the TopGolf team, he led the instructional staff at another Top 100 practice facility in Fairfax, Virginia.  After graduating from Furman University in 1990, Stephen spent ten years in France where he played professionally on various tours, including the European Challenge Tour, the British Professional Golf Tour and the French National Circuit. Stephen has taught for over 12 years.

His teaching experience includes:

  • Director of Instruction in Fairfax Virginia
  • Head of Instruction duties at Golf de Chevannes (Paris)
  • Assistant Professional at Golf de St Cloud (Paris), a European Tour venue, where he captained the junior golf academy comprised of over 100 students in a year-long golf school

He is also experienced as a golf course architect and has designed a 27-hole course near Paris, as well as designing the first golf course in Mongolia.

Chris Ries

TopGolf Instructor

After graduation from Radford University, Chris entered the golf business as a professional in April of 1995 and began his career at Tantallon Country Club. In August 1997 he went to Mount Vernon Country Club where he gained his professional status and hones his skills as a teacher and club-fitter. Chris is a Mater Putter-Fitter and has been recruited by Robert Trent Jones Golf Clubs and Congressional Country Club to perform putter-fitting services for their respective memberships. In April 2002 he joined the Mid-Atlantic Golf Center team after providing his value as a Titleist/Cobra Golf Demo Specialist. This combination of past experience and club fitting expertise has enabled him to add an additional perspective to the club-fitting process. Chris is one of two professionals at TopGolf to have passes the Player's Ability Test as a Medalist.

Leon Rodgers

TopGolf Certified Instructor

In 2001, Leon used his passion for the game and moved to making golf his career. Leon started his new career as an assistant at a couple of local clubs, before taking on Head Professional duties at Lake Arbor Golf Club in nearby Maryland.

At TopGolf, he has proven himself quickly by playing a key role in the junior program and the TopGolf Member Clinics. Leon's eye for the swing, his enthusiasm and his professionalism make him a valued member of the TopGolf Academy Teaching Staff.

Tony Herbert

Custom Club Fitter

Tony Herbert is the custom club-fitter at TopGolf. Tony's passion and expertise for club fitting make him a leader in the Metropolitan area. He has developed a fitting program that covers all dimensions of the game, from the driver to the putter. Certified by Callaway, Titleist and Nike, he will help you find the proper golf equipment that suits your swing and your game.

Tony was first exposed to the retail side of golf in 2001 after working for the U.S. Capital Police Force for 12 years.
